TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
